Strong - Mary Simmons

Mary K. Strong of Crawfordsville, age 67, died Friday evening, February 25, in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. She was born in Fountain County, January 28, 1916, the daughter of Floyd and Estel McAlister Simmons. October 10, 1947, she married Kenneth Strong, who survives. A 1934 graduate of Crawfordsville High School, she was a retired employee of the garment factory and attended the United Methodist Church.
Also surviving are two sons, Gordon and Thomas, both of Crawfordsville; a sister, Florence Mills of Crawfordsville; two brothers, George Simmons of Lake Holiday and Emory Simmons of Hadley, Massachusetts; a granddaughter and a step granddaughter. A daughter, Earleen, preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at Powers Funeral Home in Crawfordsville with Rev. Marlow Reinholdt officiating. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. – thanks to S
